Shavua HaSefer

We enjoyed participating in Shavua HaSefer and reading books to the first grade. We were amazed by how much they understood and it was a lot of fun collaborating with them and drawing comics together.

Kitah Daled Dreamers

On Friday, we had our long awaited class pajama day. We spent the day lounging on the floor discussing our dreams for the future. We even took guesses what our friends want to be when they grow up. Who knew that HaMorah Naama wants to be an actress when she is older or that HaMorah Shani wants to drive an icecream truck? We hope that Kitah Daled continues to dream big because we know that they can achieve anything and everything!

4th Grade Mesibat Navi Part 2

The highlight of our year was experiencing Sefer Yehoshua. We got to know Yehoshua and walked along side him as he led Am Yisrael into Israel. We hid in Rachav's house, marched around the walls of Yericho and fought in the battles to conquer Eretz Yisrael. The only way to summarize the learning was to experience it again, through games. This time, the students prepared fun and creative games for everyone to play that reviewed the different topics that we covered. It was amazing!

Reminiscing with Yehoshua

Yehoshua came to speak to the class today. Last time he was here was at the beginning of the year, when we began learning about him. Now, after walking along side Yehoshua all year through the highs and lows, through the joy and sadness, it was nice to have the opportunity to talk to him and reminisce about those adventures. We have begun to prepare to say goodbye to Yehoshua and to appreciate the life lessons that we gained from knowing him.

יום ירושלים

Kitah Daled toured Yerushalayim today on our interactive light rail train. They had the chance to visit and learn about some of "further afield" locations like the science museum and Heichal HaSefer. They met Moshe Montefiore in Yemin Moshe and also went underground to explore the tunnels of the Western Wall.

״ד״ קושיות

This week we started the Maggid section of the Haggadah. After reviewing the Ma Nishtana the class was challenged to ask questions. And more questions. And more questions. We filled the bulletin board with questions about the Seder, the Pesach story and the customs and traditions. Get ready because we will be bringing them home to YOU for the answers we seek!!

War Games in Kitah Daled

Navi is always exciting in Kitah Daled but today it was also a game! We moved the pieces along the board and had to answer questions or go on missions as we reviewed the story of the War against the 5 kings.
