Today, Mrs. Pizzo came to the fourth grade to talk about her experience as a deaf person. She talked about growing up deaf, learning at a school for the deaf, and living today as a deaf woman. Rose Pizzo has a service dog who helps keep her safe. She is married with three hearing children and several hearing grandchildren. The students had many meaningful questions and comments to share and offer. We want to thank Mrs. Pizzo for coming to speak with us. We would also like to thank our very own amazing, Morah Leah for interpreting.
