4B Discovery Day!

Dear Parents,
4B had a great day discovering all about bees! Our class started the day learning why the bee population is decreasing, and participated in many hands on activities to experience how a bee lives. We were able to see how a bee pollinates and how the bees communicate to each other through the "waggle dance." At the end of the day we got to taste 4 different types of honey and voted for our favorite. The winner: orange blossom honey!Ask your child what he/she thought about the buckwheat honey. You can probably guess from the pictures!
It was a wonderful learning experience and everyone had fun!
We are looking forward to another great week as we prepare to start our unit on New Jersey history!

Shabbat Shalom and have a "bee"u tiful weekend,
Morah Fran and Morah Leah
